Collaborative Practice Agreement Utah

Since August 2018, 83 Utah NPs have received a federal waiver for the treatment of opioid dependence with products containing buprenorphine. In accordance with its standardization power and with appropriate training or experience, an NP may, in independent practice, obtain a federal waiver declaration to distribute products containing buprenorphine. An NP who prescribes during the visit to the office may be able to obtain a federal waiver with appropriate training or experience, provided that the cooperating physician is certified, trained or licensed to treat and treat patients with an opioid use disorder. Utah Code Ann. No. 58-31b-102 (14) A PA may prescribe controlled drugs and substances in accordance with a delegation of service agreements. Utah Code Ann. No. 58-70a-501 (2) A service agreement is required between a supervisory physician and PaPa. The agreement must define labour relations and the delegation of tasks. Utah Code Ann.

No. 58-70a-102 (2) We have successfully standardized and centralized the filling process of our 10 community clinics. Our PAC3 team processes an average of 12,000 filling requests per month and PAC3 pharmacists document all procedures performed with each filling request. The savings associated with the CCRA program are due to the increased efficiency of the staff responsible for verifying filling requests. We have a dedicated 8-time equivalent (FTEs) staff that responds to all filling requests for our community family clinic and internal medicine provider. The old decentralized model used 11 FTEs. The CCRA program increased the filling rate by 10% compared to the previous decentralized model. As a result of the increase in the approval rate, the CCRA program saved 510 hours of time per year for our suppliers, resulting in an additional 1,530 clinic visits.

We also demonstrated a faster average transit time, from an average of 72 hours to about one working day. A dental hygienist may treat patients in certain areas of public health, pursuant to a written agreement with a dentist. The services of appropriate suppliers are all general prudential surveillance functions in the practical field of a dental hygienist. Code Utah 58-69-801 Medical services may be provided within the competences and competencies of the Palestinian Authority, as part of the usual practice of the treating physician and under the supervision of a physician and in accordance with a delegation of benefit agreements. Utah Code Ann. No. 58-70a-501 (1) A nurse may practice without the supervision of a physician. A consultation and transfer plan that is required with a physician to allow the NP to prescribe Schedule II if the NNP does not meet certain requirements. Utah Code Ann. No. 58-31b-102 (5) Prior to the implementation of the program, filling authorization requirements were treated differently in each of our community clinics with inconsistent processing time and staff availability. We launched the Pharmacy Ambulatory Clinical Care Center (PAC3) to standardize the filling authorization process, streamline communication, develop robust reporting tools and increase work efficiency and hospital capacity.

The first step was to centralize the filling process on pac3. The second step was to create a workflow in which PAC3 technicians dealt with all filling requirements and administrative functions. The third step was to update our Cooperation Agreement (CPA) to standardize the authorization process for pharmacists and facilitate laboratory schedule and evaluations with the care triage centre.
