Va Training Agreement

Generally speaking, no. The ASA does not allow jobs that require short periods of experience to maintain and perform the work satisfactorily. Occupations with significant training needs of less than 6 months are reviewed and examined on a case-by-case basis. The training is adapted to the needs and goals of the individual, so there is no set length. If the training is intended to prepare the individual for a potential appointment to the Agency, rather than simply gaining work experience, the Agency must ensure that the training enables Veterans to meet the qualification requirements for the position. Veterans with disabilities who are eligible for training under the Vocational Rehabilitation Program may register with an agency, in accordance with an agreement between the Agency and VA. .
